Sealite Releases New 1200mm Diameter Navigation Buoy – Uniquely Designed for Fast Water Currents up to 8 knots

Tilton, New Hampshire, USA – March 2017 — Sealite is pleased to release the new 1200mm diameter fast water navigation buoy, designed for rivers, ports and harbours and estuaries with fast flowing water currents of up to 8 knots.

The unique and innovative design of Sealite’s new fast water buoy, is a combination of a traditional navigation buoy shape above the water line and a boat hull on the bottom, to provide an extremely stable and buoyant navigation marker in fast and rough water conditions. An integrated bow and keel gives the fast water buoy lift as the water flows underneath it, enabling the buoy to rise and sit higher on the surface of the water creating stability and allowing the buoy to support a heavier payload.

Rotationally moulded as a single piece float section, the fast water buoy has an integrated 316-stainless steel tie-bar to provide exceptional strength and safe working load for lifting. The fast water buoy is made of UV-stabilised, virgin polyethylene to 9mm wall thickness to provide additional strength.

The fast water buoy comes in a range of IALA recommended configurations and colours for excellent visibility and is developed to support a variety of marine lanterns.
